Here is some photos from impact craters outside Finland. All photos has been taken by me. All photos: © Jarmo Moilanen |

Barringer USA |
| I was really lucky when my plane from Los Angeles to Frankfurt fly over the famous Meteor Crater of Arizona while I was returning from two month South Pole expedition via New Zealand and USA. |

Dellen Sweden |
| View over Dellen impact structure from Avholmsberget which is located NW from center of the structure. There is this nice view point, restaurant and rock exhibition. Unfortunately, the rock exhibition was put in a dark corner of the restaurant. |
| Södra Dellen from Hålsjö. Island in the photo is Hålsjöholmen where is protected outcrop of dellenite. |
Gardnos Norway |
| A beautiful sign made out of stone when arriving Gardnos geological park. A little pit further there is a parking place for visitors and protected outcrop of breccias and suevite. |
| Protected outcrop on the river ped of Dokkelvi-river. Water of the river has been put into a 5 km long tunnel for 250 MW hydroelectric power plant. In the lower part of this photo the river bed is Gardnos breccia and in upper part of this photo the river bed is suevite. Contact between Gardnos breccia and suevite is uneven. |
| Closeup of Gardnos breccia on the river bed. It was a rainy day and the river bed was slippery when I visited there. The lens cover is 5,5 cm wide. |

Lockne Sweden |
| View over Lockne impact structure toward south. Lockne impact structure has several strange looking breccias which are maybe formed when huge resurge waves hit back into the crater after the impact into the sea. |
Siljan Sweden |
| Outcrop in center of this huge (diameter 55 km) impact structure. Rock is granite and many stones in this photo are shatter cones. There is also black vein in granite which is probably a volcanic dyke. Siljan is way too big structure to took photo of the structure itself. There is also protected shatter cone outcrop about half kilometer east from this place. Unfortunately protected area was not been look after enough and there is not much to see because trees do grow. |

Tor Sweden |
This is a small, 20 meter wide crater. Evidences of meteorite impact are not very strong but topography of this pit is very similar with Kaalijärv in Estonia. There is several smaller "craters" nearby. There is also wider waterhole next to this, but it is not crater-like structure. I have to admit, that it is very much possible that this is not a meteorite crater at all. |
