Short version of this talk was presented by Mika Sillanpää after I have to chancel my participation. About two new ice crystal halos (named in this talk as the 6° halo and the 12° halo) found in photographs taken at the South Pole 10-11 Dec 1998. Also mention of possible ~28° halo (radius is not measured, but it is 26-29°).

Short version of this talk was presented by Mika Sillanpää after I have to chancel my participation. This is second paper about the Moilanen arc.
  • "Halo observation provide evidence of airborne cubic ice in the Earth's atmosphere"; Marko Riikonen, Mika Sillanpää, Leena Virta, Daniel Sullivan, Jarmo Moilanen, and Ismo Luukkonen; Applied Optics, Vol. 39, No. 33, p. 6080-6085 (Optical Society of America, 22 Nov 2000)
